How I started

Welcome to my portfolio, essentially my technical playground where you can get to know me through my passion projects. I have always had a diverse range of interests from art illustration to music production to videogames and computing. As a self-taught tech enthusiast and certified nerd I had access to my first personal computer at the age of 9 running Windows 95!

I promptly broke this machine while tinkering with the operating system by installing all manner of utilities acquired from the then infantile Internet on a dial-up connection (28.8kbps to be exact!). My mother spent a number of hours reformating the hard drive using the recovery floppy discs that came with it and it was through observing and participating with that experience was when I knew computing was my passion, vowing to fix any machine I touched. I have spent the last 15 years in IT departments configuring software, maintaining hardware and resolving issues while embarking on personal projects in my own time.

Cyber Security

I've always been conscientious about security, both from a physical and digital perspective.

Security Projects

Linux Penetration Testing As part of my exploration in to penetration testing and ethical hacking I built a Kali Linux penetration testing (VirutalBox) VM with a range of tools I also replicated this configuration on a hardware host using a Raspberry Pi 3.
Network Hardening I explore the options around hardening personal home networks and those within larger corporate infrastructures. I've had experience using DarkTrace and Falcon Sensor which have given be a foundational understanding of network vulnerabilities.
